White Rock is one of the Lower Mainland's best locations for flatland skimboarding with eight kilometres of sandy beach and warm shallow waters. The progression of the sport in the area has been drastic from simple crusier runs to today's skateboard/snowboard influenced tricks such as Ollies and butters. The Breakneck Crew is proud to have been part of this revolution in White Rock from the beginning. Since 1997, Kyle Lynch has been doing his thing at East Beach experiencing the change from constructing driftwood rails to complex PVC rails, from wood bases with resin to all types of stronger more slick materials.

A short video of the competition the crew held at East Beach, White Rock. The event featured a couple really sick rails including a 25 foot long orange kink and the "Hellbound" a 30 foot rollarcoaster/gap hybrid.

Nik brings the humour to the beach, and is one of those guys that can put a smile on your face no matter how badily you pooch a trick. He also has one of the cleaniest looking ollies in the business, simply making it look like the board is super glued to his feet.

Q&A

1. Your Start ? My best friend in Elementary took me a few times and I've been doing it ever since.
2. Transportation ? I'm not crusing in the '86 Volvo Turbo Intercooler Sedan, I resort the Stu's stylish Espresso (a minivan), the bus or longboard the treacherous roads to get to the beach.
3. Favorite Part of the day ? My favourite part of the day is 6:26pm. It's when I get my second wind.
4. After Skim Feast ? After skimboarding I like to mosey on down to the local grocery market and barter for funions and kd only paying in nickels and dimes.
5. Best Skim Trip ? The BEST skim trip will have to be the only skim trip to witty's and mystic. . . except extremely cold water sucks.

6. Best Session ? All of the times Kyle and Chris gave me those sexy eye looks.
7. Your Style ? I like to get hang time like MJ in his prime except the only difference being he does it wearing cool shoes.
8. Why Do You Skim ? What else is there to do.
9. Dream Skim Trip ? Somewhere with big shore break.
10. Life Philosophy ? I haven't constructed a life philosophy yet except that I try not to do anything to people I wouldn't want them doing to me.
