ABOUT US
White Rock is one of the Lower Mainland's best locations for flatland skimboarding with eight kilometres of sandy beach and warm shallow waters. The progression of the sport in the area has been drastic from simple crusier runs to today's skateboard/snowboard influenced tricks such as Ollies and butters. The Breakneck Crew is proud to have been part of this revolution in White Rock from the beginning. Since 1997, Kyle Lynch has been doing his thing at East Beach experiencing the change from constructing driftwood rails to complex PVC rails, from wood bases with resin to all types of stronger more slick materials.
" Over the past ten years, It has been amazing watching how far the sport has come. I never imagined that the sport would become so popular. I remember when I first began skimming, I was one of the only a few skimboarders on the beach and now I have a full crew of guys just as stoked as I am. "

APRIL 18th, 2008 - ROYAL TREATMENT / NO RIDE SHAFTNESS
Kyle gets the royal treatment having a photographer and a filmer during a sesh, too bad an artic front made the beach freezing. Kyle was able to get a couple popped bigger spins on tape before his feet went numb. Frank couldn't make it to the beach but did get to practice his grinds with a carpet landing.

APRIL 16th, 2008 - BUILDING WEAPON X
Scott and Kyle got together to start the construction of a special rail concept that has been consuming Scott's mind for the past few months. What is so special about this rail? Well, all I can reveal is that it could be the answer to alot of problems plaguing wood built rails.

APRIL 13th, 2008 - GOODNESS AND GOOD SKIM
Nick was pretty choked to have missed skimboarding on saturday so he gave Kyle a call and well as you could have guessed ... they were soon seshing East Beach. During the sesh Nick found out that he officially had a place to stay in Montreal for September, which was pretty stoking. A few photos were taken but it was more about getting footage on this day.

APRIL 12th, 2008 - DRIFTWOOD IS GOOD
The first really warm day of the year in White Rock brought everyone to the beach. West Beach was crazy, Marine Drive was packed bumper to bumper with guys showing off their classic cars or their over indulgent sportscars. Kyle, Scott, and Frank escaped from the masses and seshed East beach. No rails this day but the crew did manage to get a ghetto sesh going taking use of some driftwood.

APRIL 3RD, 2008 - BUG BASHING IS NOT COOL
Some asshole broke into Kyle's 1965 volkswagon, and fucked up his dashboard all to accomplish nothing, leaving the cdplayer mangled and taking a couple of old cds and his 7 year old speakers. Way to go buddy disfigure a classic for nothing but the satisfaction of ruinning someone elses day.

P.S. Kyle blew off some steam at the beach, stomping some popped bigger spins. He can't wait to get some on tape along with a couple other moves he has been working on ... long live freestyle flatland and die quickly petty theft.
