ABOUT US
White Rock is one of the Lower Mainland's best locations for flatland skimboarding with eight kilometres of sandy beach and warm shallow waters. The progression of the sport in the area has been drastic from simple crusier runs to today's skateboard/snowboard influenced tricks such as Ollies and butters. The Breakneck Crew is proud to have been part of this revolution in White Rock from the beginning. Since 1997, Kyle Lynch has been doing his thing at East Beach experiencing the change from constructing driftwood rails to complex PVC rails, from wood bases with resin to all types of stronger more slick materials.

" Over the past ten years, It has been amazing watching how far the sport has come. I never imagined that the sport would become so popular. I remember when I first began skimming, I was one of the only a few skimboarders on the beach and now I have a full crew of guys just as stoked as I am. "

MAY 15TH, 2008 "ACTIVATE FLATLAND DOMINANCE"
It didn't take Nick very long to get back on a skimboard. He called up Lynch who is always down for a sesh and in no time Kyle's bug was in the parking lot at East Beach and the boys were on the beach killing some freestyle flatland.
MAY 14TH, 2008 "NICK POCHEREVA IS BACK IN THE ROCK"
Nick Pochereva is back from a road trip with some of his buddies that took him to 8 different states, some of the highlights included Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Canyon. Were all happy to annouce that he has arrive home in one piece even after spotting a Grizzly and partying in Los Vegas.
MAY 12TH, 2008 "LYNCH VISITS THE ROCKIES"
Kyle takes four days to travel through the rookies mountains. On his way he stopped in Kelowna to check out the sandbar and ended up throwing down some sick tricks considering the water level on the lake was to high. The Rockies were awe inspiring Kyle walked on glaciers and walked through waterfall carved pathways.
MAY 7TH, 2008 "INTRODUCING ... "
Kyle shared a sick session at Eastbeach with the ever growing Breakneck family. We are proud to annouce 4 new members. Roberto Gonzalez a rail dominating skimboarder who can be seen killing his home beach of Spanish Banks. Will Beange another spanish representative who is a great over all rider, excelling at flatland tech. Lastly two you guns Jordan Bennett and Joel Giddings who will be seshing White Rock alot this summer.
MAY 6TH, 2008 "RIDE THE TIDE"
Kyle and Scott shared one of the best sessions of the year. They skimmed there hearts out riding until the tide pooched things. Look out for some sick new flatland tricks coming from Scott and Kyle in the near future. We were too stoked to stop skimmin but Kyle did manage to get this shot after the two had stopped.
MAY 4TH, 2008 "WEAPON X - TEST RUN"
The crew was out in full force to test Scott Townsend's sick new ollie-on box. So whats the big deal about Weapon X ? that is easily answered the whole substructure of the rail is built out of alluminum making the thing pretty much indestructible not to mention super easy to use and the best thing it doesn't get any heavier after a session. We will throw some pics up of Weapon X when they become available. Also the boys got some attention from the Surrey Now (a local rag) during this session and Kyle showed up doing a pop shuv indy, check it out sorry for the horrible quality.
MAY 3RD, 2008 "ALL RAIN ALL SKIM"
As you might have guessed by the titled of this entry, it was a pretty horrible day for some skimming but that didn't stop the crew. The guys where out there going big with some flatland and then killing a ghetto ollie on. The regs were all there and were joined by a couple of the Kayotics team riders Roberto and Will. Sorry no pics on this day, the weather was just not allowing much in those terms, other then some water dropleted footage.
MAY 1ST, 2008 - AFTER WORK SPECIAL
Alex and Kyle meet up for a spur of the moment sesh at East beach. Each are working on some new tricks, which should be pretty dope once they have them dailed.
